Q Shelter regularly engages with the sector to inform our policy and investment recommendations to government and policymakers. As part of our sector engagement, we also work directly with subject matter experts via our two policy advisory groups on Community Housing growth and Responding to Homelessness.
Whilst not formal subcommittees of the Q Shelter Management Committee, these advisory groups provide invaluable insights and advice to the Q Shelter Leadership Team on specific matters and initiatives. They are agile, meeting every 2-3 months, and operate under a modern and light-touch governance structure.
Involvement in these groups is voluntary, and Q Shelter greatly appreciates and acknowledges the contribution our Policy Advisory Group members make to shaping our housing and homelessness policy platforms.
