Homelessness Week 2023 - People need support to end homelessness.

This year, the theme for Homelessness Week on 7 – 13 August 2023, is “It’s time to end homelessness”.

Hosted each year by Homelessness Australia, Homelessness Week is championed by homelessness services, peak bodies in each state like Q Shelter, and non-profits everywhere to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness and the need to find solutions.

This year’s national launch at Parliament House Canberra at 11am Monday 7 August, will feature a presentation from The Hon Julie Collins MP, Minister for Housing and Homelessness, and will focus on the solutions needed to end First Nations homelessness.

In Queensland, there are events like Gladstone Homeless Connect, where regional communities will bring together service providers and resources for those experiencing housing stress and homelessness in the Gladstone region.

You can find resources and free downloads to help you promote homelessness week on the Homelessness Australia website.
